HISTORY
In February of 2000, Stone Enterprises purchased a small, existing machine shop in Hastings, NE to produce two pieces for a distributor in the food processing industry. It soon became apparent that other food plants had the same needs. The next step was to expand.
In 2002, Stone Enterprises purchased a distributor that produced quality replacement parts. A CNC machine shop was acquired so Stone Enterprises could start producing custom machines and parts.
In 2007, Stone Enterprises brought on a full-time in-house design engineer. The company found their niche in the food processing equipment and parts sector and made the strategic decision to purchase American Meat Equipment in 2010.
Stone Enterprises has now grown to 35 employees (and counting) including 3 design engineers, 9 fabricators,10 master machinist and despite the size, one phrase that is instilled in employees is “under promise and over deliver”- the same value that started the company is very much part of it still.
